Lab Microbiologist

Job Description

Role & responsibilities The individual should be able to perform Microbial daily monitoring (sampling and testing) of water, compressed air, and environmental air (for manufacturing area, warehouse, and Micro-lab) as per site matrix after. Preparation of media as per requirement and performance of growth promotion tests. The individual should be able to receive, issue, store, use, and reconciliation of media, cultures, disinfectant solutions, cleaning solutions, consumables, and accessories. Operation & Management of Micro-lab equipment and instruments. To perform internal verification and calibration of Micro-lab equipment and instruments as per work instructions. Daily monitoring of temperature, relative humidity, and differential pressure in the Micro-lab. Preparation and documentation of disinfectant solutions for Micro-lab cleaning as per procedure to maintain the Micro-lab in a clean and organized manner. Update and maintain the status labeling of all equipment and instruments in the Micro-lab as required by the laboratory system and SOP. Timely reporting of any laboratory incidents, out-of-specification (OOS), and out-of-trend (OOT) results to the immediate supervisor and investigating the same. Recording of activities as per procedure and instruction in the Micro-lab and maintaining the documents follow GLP, cGMP, GDP, and EHS practices. Skill Required The individual is responsible to work in Micro-Lab compliant with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP).Knowledge & Skills: Able to do understand basic principles of Microbiological procedures & instruments used in Micro-lab. Person must also have knowledge and capability to operate instruments by following aseptic practices. Digital Skills: Effectively use MS tools, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, in day-to-day operations. If required, need to operate company software. The individual must have good communication skill with team.
