Lab Manager - Failure Analysis

Your passion for building a strong team, fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and supporting growth will be crucial in this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead a multi-disciplinary team of failure analysis engineers, providing guidance and mentorship on lab strategies and goals. - Oversee the investigation of products and materials using various analytical techniques to identify the root cause of failure. - Represent the failure analysis team in executive review meetings, updating on major findings and their impact. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address failures and implement corrective actions. - Work with other internal laboratories to optimize project distribution and reduce turnaround times. - Develop new failure analysis methodologies and techniques to meet emerging characterization needs. - Ensure compliance with lab environmental, health, and safety requirements. **Preferred Qualifications:** - PhD in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related discipline. - 10+ years of experience in failure analysis of microelectronics/consumer electronics products and 5+ years of managerial experience. - Expertise in domains such as electrical fault isolation, electron microscopy, analytical chemistry, and materials characterization. **Minimum Qualifications:** - Master's degree in Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related discipline. - 10+ years of experience in failure analysis and 5+ years of managerial experience. - Proficiency in various failure analysis techniques and strong analytical skills. - Experience in managing daily operations of a failure analysis lab and driving continuous improvement initiatives. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead multiple teams effectively.
