Job Description

Lab Head (Satellite Labs) Responsible for the overall technical & scientific operations of the assigned lab including the education, training and competence of personnel to meet the needs and requirements of the users. To ensure implementation of Quality policy and an effective quality management program for the laboratory includes all aspects of test performance, including preanalytical, analytical and post analytical phases of testing. To ensures that external quality assurance, proficiency testing, alternate assessment & quality control procedures are sufficient for the extent of testing performed in the laboratory. To ensure and drive Quality Control procedures on the instruments for accurate results. To ensure performance specifications for new test / method / instrument has been satisfactorily validated or verified prior to use for patient testing. Ensure reports are released within defined Turn Around Time and timely information is shared with Customer Care team in case of report delays. Implement and monitor the quality improvement performance indicators for the laboratory services Evaluate operational problems and troubleshoot with technical staff. Interacts with accrediting, regulatory and other agencies as appropriate and as per local regulations. Inter department Coordination with Admin, Finance, Customer Care, Quality, Field Operations, IT, Human Resources, Referral Labs. Implement Contingency plan to ensure essential services are available during emergency situations or situations when laboratory services are limited or unavailable. Ensures implementation of a safe laboratory environment in compliance with good practice and applicable regulations.
