Inspect received routine samples and distribute them according to analysis type to different laboratory sections.
Communicate with the shift in charge regarding abnormal samples or non-receipt of routine samples as per schedule.
Adhere to standard test methods, work instructions, and quality system procedures.
Conduct tests, validate results, and report findings to ensure reliability.
Detect exceptions or deviations in test results and highlight/report them to concerned parties.
Perform on-spot mitigation in emergency situations under the guidance of the shift in charge.
Ensure effective sample management and dispose of leftover samples safely.
Ensure timely entry of test results in LIMS and maintain analytical gears (instruments, equipment, glassware, etc.) by cleaning and maintaining them for future experiments.
Maintain good housekeeping in the laboratory and manage data effectively through proper entries in raw data books, LIMS, process registers, and individual raw data books.
Follow applicable HSEF procedures and practices, staying aware of environmental, site, statutory, and IP regulations while handling chemicals and tools safely.
Report unsafe acts or conditions to lab management for correction and demonstrate self-initiative for trainings to enhance competencies.
Participate in external trainings and events as advised by the section head.

Job Requirements

Relevant knowledge of test procedures and results reporting as per standard method requirements.
Ability to handle samples according to category and perform analysis as per standard methods.
Knowledge of process stream samples and critical results.
Effective communication skills for reporting abnormal/off-spec results to the Shift In-charge.
Ability to learn various types of chemical/instrumental testing.
Experience in QA/QC discipline is preferred.
Education: Sc.
