Role: Kubernetes Administrator Experience: 07 to 10 years Locations: Chennai / Mumbai / Kochi Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Kubernetes Administrator to manage and optimize our Kubernetes clusters. As part of the DevOps team, you will be responsible for maintaining the health, scalability, and performance of our containerized applications deployed in Kubernetes. You will work closely with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and container orchestration. Responsibilities: Kubernetes Cluster Management: Install, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters in both on-premises and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor the health and performance of Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance. Troubleshoot issues related to containers and Kubernetes environments. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automate Kubernetes deployments using tools like Helm, Kustomize, or Terraform. Maintain infrastructure as code pipelines. Container Management: Collaborate with development teams to design, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes. CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Work with DevOps teams to integrate Kubernetes clusters into continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) workflows. Security: Implement security best practices for Kubernetes clusters, including role-based access control (RBAC), network policies, and secret management. Automation & Scripting: Create and maintain automation scripts to streamline Kubernetes management tasks (Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.). Troubleshooting: Resolve issues with container orchestration, performance bottlenecks, or system failures promptly. Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with infrastructure, operations, and development teams to improve Kubernetes and containerized application deployments. Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for Kubernetes architecture, deployment processes, and troubleshooting steps. Requirements: Proven Experience: At least 7+ years of experience in managing Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications. Hands-on Experience with Kubernetes tools and components (e.g., kubectl, Helm, Kustomize, etc.). Cloud Experience: Familiarity with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and their Kubernetes solutions (e.g., EKS, AKS, GKE). Linux Expertise: Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and troubleshooting. Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go for automation and configuration. Networking: Understanding of container networking, load balancing, and ingress controllers in Kubernetes. Security Best Practices: Experience with security tools and protocols in Kubernetes, including RBAC, network policies, and secret management. Version Control: Experience with Git and GitOps principles for managing code and configurations. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues in a Kubernetes environment. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications: Kubernetes Certification (CKA, CKAD) is a plus.
