As we scale, we’re looking for a talented Kitchen Designer who can translate homeowner needs into practical, beautiful, and buildable designs using Mosaic and SketchUp.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Remote Kitchen Designer with strong expertise in Mosaic software and SketchUp to create detailed kitchen layouts, 3D renders, and technical drawings for our projects.

You’ll work closely with our founder, operations team in Canada, and our in-house carpentry/installation team to:

• Turn client requirements into optimized kitchen layouts
• Prepare accurate drawings that our factory/installer team can execute
• Support our sales team with visuals (renders, 3D views) that help close projects

This is a full-time remote role.

Key Responsibilities

Design kitchen layouts (and occasionally vanities/closets) based on client requirements and site measurements

Use Mosaic software to:

• Create detailed kitchen designs
• Generate cut lists, elevations, and technical drawings
• Prepare manufacturing/installation-ready documentation

Use SketchUp to:

• Build 3D models of proposed kitchens
• Create high-quality visuals/renders for client presentations
• Optimize designs for:
• Storage, functionality, and workflow (work triangle)
• Appliance positioning, clearances, ergonomics, and accessibility

Coordinate with the Canadian team to:

• Revise designs based on client feedback
• Incorporate site conditions, measurements, and constraints
• Work with standard Pacific Builders design & cabinet specs (materials, hardware, finishes, profiles, etc.)
• Prepare final design packages for approval: plan, elevations, 3D views, and notes
• Ensure designs are practical to build, cost-conscious, and aligned with project budget
• Maintain design files, templates, and project documentation in an organized way

Required Skills & Experience

• 2–4+ years of experience as a Kitchen Designer (modular kitchens, custom cabinetry, or interior design with strong kitchen focus)
• Strong hands-on experience with Mosaic software (non-negotiable)
• Proficient in SketchUp for modeling and presentation
• Solid understanding of:
• Modular / custom kitchen systems
• Cabinet types, modules, hardware, and standard sizes
• Countertop layouts, backsplashes, sinks, appliances, and lighting considerations
• Ability to read and interpret site measurements, floor plans, and basic architectural drawings
• Good sense of design, proportions, and finishes (modern, contemporary, transitional styles)
• Comfortable working remotely using tools like WhatsApp, Zoom/Google Meet, email, and shared drives
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects at once

Nice-to-Have

• Experience designing kitchens for North American / Canadian markets
• Knowledge of basic construction practices related to kitchen installation
• Experience with rendering plugins for SketchUp (e.g., V-Ray, Enscape, Lumion – if any, mention in CV)
• Diploma/degree in Interior Design / Architecture or related field

Work Schedule

• Remote role (work from home)
• Must be comfortable with partial overlap with Canadian working hours for meetings, revisions, and team coordination

Salary & Benefits

• Monthly salary: ₹60,000 – ₹80,000 (based on skills, test assignment, and experience)
