Junior System Administrator

Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide installation, configuration, and maintenance support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and network issues efficiently.
• Manage Active Directory, user accounts, and system policies.
• Perform routine server checks, patching, and basic administration tasks.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and wireless networks.
• Provide first-level firewall monitoring and assist in configuration changes.
• Ensure endpoint security and compliance with organizational policies.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve escalated issues.
• Provide end-user support and training when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of experience as a Desktop Engineer / IT Support Engineer in an enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 10/11), MS Office, enterprise applications, and printer management.
• Hands-on experience with networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, switches, routers).
• Basic server administration knowledge (Windows Server, Linux preferred).
• Experience with firewall systems (Fortinet, Sophos, Palo Alto, or similar).
• Familiarity with ITSM tools and ticketing systems.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, CompTIA A+/N+, or Firewall certifications are a plus.
