Applications are invited from suitable candidates (Indian Citizens) for one position of Junior Research Fellow in the DBT funded Research Project entitled, Genetic and Epigenetic drivers of chewing tobacco (Kaddipudi) habited woman oral cancer patients, in the Laboratory of Dr. Tessy Thomas Maliekal at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Age:

Below 28 years as on November 14th, 2025. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.

Duration

For a period up to 16/09/2028 or till termination of the project (whichever is earlier) and extendable based on performance evaluation.

Money

Rs. 37,000/- 18 PERCENT HRA per month.

Qualification

Post Graduate Degree In Basic Science OR Graduate / Post Graduate Degree In Professional Course Selected Through a Process Described Through Any One Of The Following

• Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility TestsCSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
• The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.

• Mammalian cell culture
• FACS
• Immunofluorescence
• Immunohistochemistry
• PCR
• Molecular cloning

The last date for receiving completed applications is November 14, 2025. If a candidate wishes to apply for different positions, separate applications should be submitted for each position. Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co-terminus with the end of the project.
