Junior Process & Proposal Engineer

About Role

Process and Proposal Engineers in the water and wastewater treatment industry are involved in designing, developing, and proposing solutions for water and wastewater treatment systems. They typically work on projects involving various treatment technologies, from OilWater Separation, TSS handing, COD/BOD reduction, water softening, reverse osmosis, Zero Liquid Discharge system process design, etc to effluent treatment plants and sewage treatment plants. These engineers also prepare project cost estimations, prepare general arrangement drawing, P&ID, PFD, HFD, tender documents, and work with various teams to ensure the best possible solutions are implemented This position requires a combination of technical process design along with commercial expertise in technical sales & customer relationship for proper project execution. 

1. Contribute to the Company’s success by applying your knowledge in Process design & engineering related to Equipments like API & TPI Oil-Water Separator, Dissolved Air Flotation Clarifier, Flash mixer & Flocculator, Lamella Clarifier (Conventional, Plate Settler & Tube Settler), Screw Press & Belt Filter Press for sludge dewatering, biological treatment systems (Aerobic & Anaerobic both), Sand Filter, carbon Filter, UF, RO, etc.

2. Should know basic Process design calculations, Hydraulic calculation, Material balance calculations, chemical dosing rates & calculations, pressure drop calculation, line sizing etc.

3. Preparation of layout, PFD, P&ID, HFD, electrical load list and power consumption

4. Perform calculations for equipment sizing, flow rates, and other critical parameters to ensure the design meets the project's functional and performance criteria

5. Prepare Techno-Commercial proposals & technical datasheets, etc for KEL Equipments

6. Preparation of Control philosophy & O&M manual for the project

7. Should perform chemical jar tests to identify effluent treatability studies

8. Preparing cost estimations, developing accurate project budgets and cost breakdown

9. Participation in technical meetings, preparing MOM and coordination with the clients and various teams in office

10. Conducting technical presentation, discussions with clients and consultants: Explaining the technical aspects of our Equipments & projects and addressing their concerns.

11. Assisting sales team technically in closure of sales enquiries

Job Requirements

1. B.Tech. in Chemical/ Environmental / Biochemical / Water Resource Engineering (only recognized degree from universities in India)

2. 0-2 years working experience in a similar role within the industry

3. Possess strong English communication and soft skills and be able to function independently with minimal supervision or as a member of a multidiscipline team

4. AutoCAD & MS Office proficiency

5. Client coordination and shall be able to perform under challenging conditions

6. This position will require a close coordination with the clients; Therefore, the candidate should have been willing to travel to different parts of country for the presentation & technical discussions

7. Willingness to travel for the business development meetings in India and abroad (duration of 1-7 days at a stretch). These can be multiple visits in a year
