Designation: - Junior P&ID Engineer About the job: Position Summary: This is a full-time role for a Junior P&ID Engineer. As a Junior P&ID Engineer, the candidate will be responsible for to support piping design and engineering tasks for industrial projects. The candidate will assist in designing, drafting, and developing piping systems along with the support to the development, updating, and management of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Need to assisting in the design, development, and optimization of products or systems in alignment with company standards and client requirements. Roles & Responsibilities: As a part of an agile team environment, you are expected to independently work on end-to-end target delivery which includes – Support 3D modeling and 2D drafting using software like AutoCAD,etc Assist in preparing piping layout drawings, isometrics, and piping material specifications. Perform basic pipe routing based on P&IDs, equipment layouts, and design standards. Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, API, etc.). Assist in preparing material take-offs (MTOs) and bill of materials (BOMs). Assist in the creation and modification of P&IDs based on process data and engineering inputs. Interpret process flow diagrams (PFDs), equipment layouts, and instrument specifications to generate accurate P&IDs. Ensure P&IDs comply with internal standards and client specifications. Participate in project design reviews and update P&IDs accordingly. Job Requirements/Qualifications: Familiarity with piping codes and standards (ASME B31.3, B31.1, etc.). Basic understanding of P&IDs, piping layouts, and equipment arrangements. Good communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn and adapt to project requirements. Basic knowledge of P&IDs, PFDs, line lists, and process equipment. Familiarity with design and drafting tools like AutoCAD, etc. Understanding of engineering documentation and control processes. Knowledge of fabrication and construction practices. Awareness of international standards and symbology (ISA, ISO, etc.). Experience working on oil & gas, chemical, or power projects. Educational Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 6 months to 1years relevant work or internship experience in a design engineering environment.Internship or project experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial plant design. Salary: As per experience and previous CTC. Software Skills: Auto-CAD is must. No.of positions : 1 Industry : Mechanical. Location : Thane.
