The Applications Development Programmer Analyst position is an intermediate level role where you will be responsible for collaborating with the Technology team to establish and implement new or updated application systems and programs. Your main goal will be to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities. As an Applications Development Programmer Analyst, your responsibilities will include: - Developing and maintaining Java-based microservices using Spring Boot. - Designing and implementing RESTful APIs. - Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code. - Participating in code reviews to enhance code quality. - Collaborating with other developers, testers, and stakeholders. - Troubleshooting and resolving issues in production and development environments. - Working with Oracle and MongoDB databases. - Learning and adapting to new technologies and frameworks. To qualify for this role, you should have: - A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. - At least 1 year of experience in Java development. - Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles. - Experience with the Spring Boot framework. - Familiarity with microservices architecture. - Experience in RESTful API design and development. - Knowledge of Oracle and MongoDB databases. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. Bonus points if you have experience with: - Cloud platforms such as Openshift. - Containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. - Agile development methodologies. - Contributions to open-source projects.
