Junior Interior Designer

Role & ResponsibilitiesDesign Development• Work with the Principal Designer to translate client briefs into concepts, mood boards and design directions• Develop space plans, furniture layouts, and technical drawings• Assist in creating 3D renders, presentations and design documentationMaterial & Vendor Coordination• Source and shortlist materials, fabrics, lights, finishes and décor• Liaise with vendors for samples, quotations, approvals and timelinesSite & Execution• Conduct site measurements, prepare BOQs and track design implementation• Coordinate with our in-house team — carpenters, masons, electricians, painters — to ensure designs are executed as planned• Perform regular site visits to monitor progress and quality standardsClient Interaction• Participate in client meetings, share updates and support in presenting concepts• Ensure smooth coordination between client expectations, design intent and executionStyling & Handover• Assist in styling spaces during final handover• Help plan the final look with décor elements, art, accessories and lighting placements⸻Skills & Requirements• Degree/Diploma in Interior Design or Architecture• 1–2 years of work experience (internships included if strong)• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop/Canva; knowledge of 3D visualization is a plus• Strong understanding of materials, ergonomics and design detailing• Good communication, organisation and time-management skills• Ability to multitask and manage multiple sites• Aesthetic sensitivity aligned with Homework’s design philosophy• Must be comfortable with site work and vendor coordination⸻What We Offer• Opportunity to work on high-end residential projects across Gurgaon• Exposure to the full design-to-execution pipeline with a strong execution team• A creative, warm, and growth-oriented environment• Mentorship from senior designers and hands-on learning• Competitive salary based on experience
