Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Interior Designer located in Chennai. The responsibilities include collaborating with the design team to create functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces, preparing construction and design drawings, managing FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, and ensuring projects align with client needs and organizational standards. The position also entails conducting site visits to coordinate with clients and contractors, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met.

Experience Requirement

• 0–2 years of experience in interior design or related field.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Space Planning and Interior Design techniques
• Knowledge of Architecture principles and Construction Drawings
• Understanding of FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) selection and specification
• Strong creative and aesthetic skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field
• Prior experience or internships in the interior design or construction field is a plus

Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist senior designers with concept development, mood boards, and design presentations.
• Support in site supervision and ensure work follows design specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
• Prepare draft drawings, material boards, and project documentation.
• Conduct site visits, take measurements, and update drawings accordingly.
• Help in client meetings, note-taking, and preparing design proposals.
• Work on 3D visualizations and renderings when required.
