Role & responsibilities Water Treatment, RO Plant, and Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of water treatment systems, including Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants, ATFD, MEE,WHE and ETPs. The engineer ensures that water quality meets standards, optimizes plant performance, and implements sustainable treatment solutions. Operation & Maintenance: Oversee the operation of RO plants, ETPs, and other water treatment systems (ATFD and MEE/WHE). Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of pumps, membranes, filters, and other equipment. Monitor water quality parameters (pH, TDS, turbidity, BOD, COD, etc.) and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Maintain optimum plant efficiency by adjusting process parameters Process Control & Optimization: Analyze water treatment performance and recommend improvements. Optimize chemical dosing and energy consumption for cost-effective operation. Troubleshoot membrane fouling, scaling, clogging, and other system issues. Implement automation and control systems for better process monitoring. Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and safety standards. Maintain records of water consumption, waste discharge, and treatment efficiency. Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory authorities. Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Compliance: Ensure safe handling of chemicals and proper waste disposal. Conduct safety training and implement emergency procedures. Promote sustainable and eco-friendly water treatment practices. Preferred candidate profile Education: Diploma/Degree degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering. Technical Skills: Knowledge of water chemistry, microbiology, and filtration technologies. Experience with RO plant design, membrane technology, and ETP processes. Understanding of chemical dosing, sludge treatment, and wastewater recycling. Familiarity with PLC/SCADA systems Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in a team. Good communication skills for reporting and regulatory compliance. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance. Perks and benefits
