Junior Designer - Modular Kitchens (Design and Sales Oriented Role)

Our client is a 25+ years old company. A pioneer in the Modular Kitchen & Wardrobes industry, with their own manufacturing and retail facilities in Gurgaon & Delhi.

The Kitchen Designer will be responsible for designing and creating kitchen layouts, providing excellent customer service, communicating design ideas effectively, and assisting in sales related to cabinetry and kitchen designs.

Role & responsibilities :

1. Client Meetings & Input Documentation: Attend client meetings (with Senior Designer/Sales Head) and document key design inputs and feedback, ensuring all relevant details are captured. 2. Lead Tracking in CRM: Maintain and update the CRM daily with the status of leads, project progress, and client interactions.

3. Daily Work Progress Updates: Update the daily work chart with completed tasks, pending tasks, and progress made, ensuring transparency and accountability.

4. Follow TAT for Design Assignments: Ensure timely completion of design tasks within the agreed-upon turnaround time (TAT) for each project.

5. Site & Architect/ID Meetings: Attend site meetings or client meetings at the architects office as required, to gather design feedback and align designs with client expectations.

6. Design Tasks: Assist in creating 2D/3D designs, EPL (Electrical Planning Layouts), countertop drawings, mood boards, appliance lists, and other essential design components.

7. Material Selection Support: Collaborate with the Senior Designer and Sales team to assist in material and finish selection for various design elements, ensuring consistency with the overall design concept.

8. Technical Drawings Coordination: Work with the Operations team to ensure that technical drawings are prepared accurately and delivered on time for production and installation.

9. File and Document Management: Ensure customer files are updated regularly with the latest design revisions, drawings, MOM (Minutes of Meeting), EPL, tile drawings, and other relevant documents.

10.Design Revisions & Updates: Assist in implementing revisions to designs based on client feedback and maintain updated versions of all design documentation.

11. Specifications & Material Tracking: Ensure all design documents include correct specifications, material choices, and revision dates to maintain clarity in project execution. 12.Quality Control: Ensure that all designs created meet the required quality standards and are aligned with client expectations before sharing with the Senior Designer or clients. 13.Coordination with Senior Designer: Regularly report progress to the Senior Designer, seek feedback on designs, and ensure all work is aligned with the overall design direction. 14.Communication with Clients: Assist in maintaining clear communication with clients, addressing any queries, and supporting the Senior Designer in presenting design ideas and concepts.

15.Design Software Proficiency: Stay proficient in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, etc.) to ensure high-quality design output and efficient work processes.

16.Design Documentation Compliance: Ensure all designs follow internal company standards and client requirements, making sure that design details and specifications are clearly communicated and documented.

17.Team Collaboration: Work closely with the design team, ensuring smooth collaboration, knowledge sharing, and supporting fellow designers where needed.

18. Learning & Skill Development: Continuously upgrade design skills, stay updated on trends, new materials, technologies, and industry best practices to contribute innovative ideas to design projects.

19.Client Feedback Management: Assist in gathering and incorporating client feedback into the design process, ensuring that all feedback is accurately implemented in the final designs. 20.Project Handover Support: Assist in the smooth handover of finalized designs to the operations and execution teams, ensuring design intent is communicated clearly for successful implementation.
