Position Overview

Junior Software Engineer

This position is ideal for candidates who are passionate about secure coding practices, risk-aware development, and collaborating across teams to build resilient, compliant systems.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development & Engineering

• Assist in designing scalable, modular, and maintainable system architectures.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and security standards are met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Security, Product) to support end-to-end delivery of features.

Security & Compliance

• Implement security protocols and practices to ensure data protection and system integrity.
• Apply principles of the

  NIST Cybersecurity Framework

  in daily development activities (Identify, Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover).
• Support compliance with

  ISO 27001 (Information Security Management)

  and

  ISO 22301 (Business Continuity Management)

  requirements.
• Ensure development activities align with

  GDPR

  principles such as privacy by design, data minimization, and lawful data processing.
• Understand

  SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) regulations

  as they relate to technology, system audits, cybersecurity guidelines, and data governance.
• Assist in maintaining documentation related to security controls, incident handling procedures, risk assessments, and audit logs.

Risk Management & Monitoring

• Contribute to vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
• Analyze security alerts and help triage risks under guidance from senior engineers or security teams.
• Maintain awareness of emerging threats, security trends, and regulatory updates relevant to the business domain.

DevSecOps & Automation

• Support the integration of security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
• Help automate compliance checks, unit tests, and deployment workflows.
• Work with DevOps teams to ensure secure cloud configurations and infrastructure-as-code practices.

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare clear, detailed technical documentation, user guides, and reports as required.
• Maintain records for compliance, audits, change management, and business continuity processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Understanding of software development methodologies.
• Basic understanding of

  REST APIs, cloud platforms (AWS)

  , and databases (SQL).

Working knowledge of:

Security protocols (TLS/SSL, OAuth, SSO, JWT, encryption basics)

  relevant to financial systems

• Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)

• Exposure to secure coding standards (OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 25).
• Familiarity with SIEM/SOC tools.
• Experience with automated testing tools and CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions).
• Basic knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
