About The Role

We are seeking a motivated

Junior Chemist

to join our

Agro R&D team

. The candidate will support research and development activities focused on

agrochemical synthesis, formulation, and process development

, contributing to innovative and sustainable solutions for the agriculture sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory experiments related to synthesis, purification, and characterization of agrochemical intermediates and actives.
• Support formulation development (herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, insecticides).
• Perform reaction monitoring, analysis, and documentation of experimental results.
• Assist in scaling up lab processes to pilot level under senior supervision.
• Work with analytical teams to characterize compounds using NMR, HPLC, GC, LC-MS, etc.
• Ensure compliance with lab safety protocols, GLP, and EHS guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of experiments, observations, and reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional R&D and manufacturing teams to transfer learnings.
  

Key Skills

• Qualification: M.Sc. with Organic Chemistry
• Hands-on skills in synthetic chemistry and analytical techniques.
• Exposure to agrochemical formulations (preferred).
• Familiarity with GLP, EHS, and laboratory safety practices.
• Good documentation and data interpretation skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
