Junior Accountant

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant, preferably with prior experience working in a Chartered Accountant (CA) firm. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, hands-on experience with Tally, and the ability to independently handle GST filings and related compliance work.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily accounting entries for sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and expenses.
• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) along with reconciliation of GST input and output.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts using Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier ledgers, customer accounts, and other financial records.
• Assist in preparing financial statements, monthly MIS reports, and supporting documents for audits.
• Verify vendor invoices, manage payment schedules, and maintain supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide necessary data during internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, GST regulations, and organizational policies.
• Assist in TDS calculations, filings, and other statutory compliances as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
• 1–2 years of practical experience in a CA firm (preferred and highly beneficial).
• Strong working knowledge of Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
• Practical experience in filing GST returns and handling GST-related queries.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and statutory compliances.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ability to work with spreadsheets.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work independently.
• Effective communication and time management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
