Junior Accountant

As a Bookkeeper in our company, your role will involve recording financial transactions in the general ledger and maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records. This includes reconciling bank statements with the general ledger, identifying and resolving discrepancies. Additionally, you will assist in the preparation of financial statements and generate financial reports for management review. Your key responsibilities will include: - Assisting in the preparation of budgets and monitoring actual financial performance against budgeted figures - Tracking and categorizing business expenses, ensuring proper documentation and coding - Preparing and posting journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness - Providing support during internal and external audits, including preparing audit schedules and documentation - Assisting in preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax regulations - Analysing financial data to identify trends and anomalies, providing support for financial decision-making - Using accounting software and tools proficiently, staying updated on software features and updates - Communicating with other departments regarding financial matters and collaborating with team members and superiors In addition to the above responsibilities, the company offers Provident Fund as a benefit. The ideal candidate for this role should preferably have a Bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience in accounting, Tally, and overall work experience.
