Junior Accountant

Job Description: Accountant (Construction Material Industry)

Location: Ranchi
Experience Required: 1–4 Years
Industry Preference: Construction Material / Building Materials / Infrastructure

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations, maintain accurate records, and support overall accounting functions. Candidates with prior experience in the construction material or infrastructure sector will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain day-to-day accounting records as per company policies.
• Handle accounts payable/receivable, ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliation.
• Prepare GST returns, TDS filings, and other statutory compliance reports.
• Manage sales and purchase entries, invoice verification, and expense tracking.
• Monitor outstanding payments and coordinate with clients/vendors for timely settlements.
• Support internal and external audits with required documentation.
• Maintain stock and inventory records for construction materials.
• Coordinate with warehouse, sales, and procurement teams for accurate financial tracking.
• Ensure accuracy in billing related to material dispatch, freight, and delivery documentation.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent.
• 1–4 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction materials, steel, cement, or building materials industry.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and overall statutory compliance.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software (Tally Prime)
• Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and financial reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently.

Salary Range:

As per industry standards and based on experience.
