Job Title: Accountant

Job Summary:

The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records of the toy store, managing day-to-day accounting activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and government regulations. The role involves tracking sales, purchases, inventory, expenses, and preparing regular financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

• Maintain daily records of sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
• Record transactions in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks).
• Prepare vouchers, invoices, and supporting documents.
• Reconcile cash, bank statements, and payment gateways (UPI, POS, etc.).

2. Inventory & Stock Management

• Coordinate with the store team to verify stock entries and inventory valuation.
• Track product purchase, sales, and returns for accurate accounting.
• Prepare monthly inventory and stock reports.

3. Financial Reporting

• Prepare and verify Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Analyze store expenses and suggest cost-saving measures.
• Generate periodic financial summaries for management review.

4. Taxation & Compliance

• Handle GST billing, return filing, and tax records.
• Manage TDS, PF/ESI (if applicable), and other statutory compliances.
• Ensure compliance with all accounting and taxation norms.

5. Coordination & Support

• Work closely with the Store Manager and HR for financial planning.
• Support in annual audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain confidentiality of all financial information.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com).
• 2–4 years of experience as an Accountant (retail / store experience preferred).
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally ERP, Excel, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and financial reporting.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Working Hours: 10:00 Am to 8:00 Pm

Salary Range: As per experience and company policy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
