Alternate Designated Person Ashore (ADPA) & HSEQ ManagerAct as back-up for the DPA.Assist DPAs in their day to day work, in emergencies or as required.Review incident investigation reports and give recommendation to DPA.Responsible for regulatory compliance with respect to ship operation.Effective implementation and compliance of the Companys SMS as per Domestic Safety Management (DSM) Code onboard the vessel and office.Promote health and safety initiatives Planning of Statutory Surveys and Internal Audits of fleet vessels.Ensuring that Shipboard SMS Internal Audits are carried out as per schedule.Investigating reported non-conformities/hazardous occurrences/accidents with Vessel Master, Superintendents and HODs.Planning Management Review Meetings and maintaining records of the sameLiaison with vessel Superintendents on routine issues of the SMSReview of Vessel’s Monthly Reports pertaining to HSEQ and maintenance of record at office for set of vessels.Reporting directly to the CEO on all matters especially relating to Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Protection within the SMS.Identifying training requirements and informing DPA, related to Safety, Environment Protection, and Vessel Operation.To analyze Masters SMS Review, Non-Conformities/Hazardous Occurrences/AccidentsResponsible for monitoring of upcoming rules and regulations in the industry, advise the company’s management and prepare action plan towards compliance to upcoming rules and regulationsReview of SMS Documentation as and when required, in consultation with DPA, HOD Operation & HOD Technical and implementation of same.Coordinate with Flag State and Class for all statutory matters, Survey, Certification, Dispensation related matters.

Scheduling and co-ordination for repair & maintenance of all shipboard machinery/equipmentExecution of Technical Operations Vessel compliance with statutory regulationsPlanning timely spares/storesCo-ordination for Classification surveys, dry docking and related workMonitoring/Asset ManagementVessel related DocumentationAnnual Budget preparation and expenses monitoringMaintaining records and MIS for management Co-ordinate with technical/IT teams for setting up of software/communication system onboard.Co-ordination with Operations team for optimizing vessel turnaround time.Co-ordination with OEMs for technical updates and troubleshooting.Experience in Shipboard planned maintainance systems.
