Jr. Engineer - Maint. (Carbon Steel Unit)

Job Description

Role & responsibilities 1. Diagnosing electrical problems and malfunctions and taking corrective action. Maintaining and repairing plant instruments. 2. Identifying faulty equipment, parts, fixtures, sensors and to replace it with correct parts. 3. Installation of new electrical equipment. 4. Inspect equipment and notify management and Engineering for any hazards or defects; Responds to break down calls and ride downtime calls in a timely manner 5. Preparing maintenance plan. Creating list of equipment and adherence of P.M Schedule. 6. Ordering special components, fixtures or fittings. Creating maintenance procedures. Managing stocks of supplies and equipment. 7. Keeping records of faulty equipment. Should have all data of repairs in History card. 8. Perform routine checks to identify any potential issues or equipment failures that may disrupt operations. This includes inspecting equipment and machinery, monitoring performance and identifying any areas for improvement. 9. Identify opportunities for process or equipment improvements and develop and implement solutions to improve equipment reliability and performance. 10.Collaborate with other departments or stakeholders to ensure that their plans align with the goals and objectives of the business. This might involve coordinating with production teams to minimize disruptions and downtime 11.Responsible for maintaining accurate records and documenting all maintenance activities, including maintenance schedules, repair logs and equipment performance metrics. 12.Manage maintenance budgets and ensure that all maintenance activities stay within budgetary constraints. 13.Shall be responsible for Power press, Hydraulic Press, Press Brakes, Roll Forming, Spot Welding, Drilling, Tapping, Powder coating Plant equipment and overall, any equipment/machines/devices of CS Plant.
