Role Overview

Position Overview

The Junior Architect will support the architectural team in design development, coordination, drawings, and project execution. The role involves assisting senior architects, preparing detailed drawings, coordinating with consultants and vendors, and ensuring that project deliverables meet quality and timeline requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Concept Development

• Assist in developing conceptual designs, mood boards, and schematic layouts.
• Prepare 2D drawings, 3D models, and presentation renders.
• Research materials, finishes, and design references.

2. Drafting & Documentation

• Produce detailed architectural drawings including plans, elevations, sections, and joinery details.
• Support in preparing GFC (Good For Construction) drawings and tender documentation.
• Update drawings as per site feedback and consultant inputs.

3. Project Coordination

• Coordinate with MEP, structural, interior, and landscape consultants for drawing integration.
• Liaise with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to gather specifications and technical inputs.
• Attend internal team meetings and maintain proper documentation of decisions and revisions.

4. Site Support

• Conduct periodic site visits with the senior architect or project manager.
• Verify drawing implementation on site and raise discrepancies if any.
• Prepare site reports, snag lists, and track progress of architectural works.

5. Technical Competence

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit (optional but preferred), and MS Office.
• Basic understanding of building codes, materials, and construction practices.
• Ability to prepare BOQs (preferred but not mandatory).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch).
• 0–2 years of experience in architectural design or project execution.
• Strong design sense and attention to detail.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
