The PRO will be responsible for managing the hospital’s image, media relations, and communication strategies, as well as ensuring effective internal and external communication. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of healthcare operations and public relations practices. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement PR strategies to enhance the hospital’s reputation. Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and press releases. Coordinate press conferences, hospital events, and community outreach programs. Manage internal communications, including newsletters and announcements. Handle patient feedback, grievances, and coordinate with relevant departments for resolution. Maintain strong relationships with government agencies, media outlets, and community stakeholders. Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on public perception. Assist in crisis communication and public health awareness campaigns. Promote hospital services and achievements via social media and other communication channels. Ensure all public-facing materials align with the hospital’s branding and communication policies. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred). Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in public relations, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of healthcare industry regulations and ethical communication standards. Proficiency in media management, press release writing, and social media platforms. Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with crisis communication planning is a plus.
