The ideal candidate is responsible for operating drill rigs and associated equipment to install deep foundations, pilings, or other sub-surface support systems in accordance with engineering specifications and safety standards. This role involves both hands-on mechanical operation and coordination with crew members to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality drilling operations. Employees will be required to work 10-12 hours per day helping in all aspects of foundation drilling and installing large diameter foundations. This job requires traveling 100% of the year. Work schedule is 10-12 days on/3-4 days off, (occasionally 3 weeks on/1 week off with some flexibility). We work on projects from the Carolina’s down to the Atlantic Ocean. Hotels and travel expenses are paid for by the Company. Meals are covered by $50/day per diem. Transportation methods are provided by the company leaving from the Prairieville, LA location. What You'll Do Operate and maintain drill rigs, tooling, pumps, and support equipment. Drill holes to specified depths and diameters for piles, shafts, or other deep foundation systems. Read and interpret plans, drawings, and job specifications. Lead and coordinate with drill crew, including helpers and laborers. Monitor drilling conditions and adjust operations as needed to maintain safety and production goals. Setting up drill sites, checking layout, checking drill for plumb, and measure offsets to confirm hole location Rigging and setting casings and rebar cages plumb and on surveyed hole location Using transits to set elevations and anchor bolts to spec Perform daily equipment inspections and routine maintenance. Document drilling activities, depths, and conditions encountered. Always ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures. Assist with mobilization and demobilization of drilling equipment on job sites. Work in variable weather conditions and in physically demanding environments. What You'll Bring Proven experience as a Driller in foundation preferred. Ability to operate hydraulic drill rigs and related equipment. Experience on drill rigs such as CZM, IMT, Bayshore, etc. Basic mechanical skills for routine equipment repairs and troubleshooting. Comfortable reading construction drawings and specifications.
