Job Description

Role & responsibilities Expertise in procurement ,sourcing of materials and achieving cost reductions & implementing systems for enhancing operational efficiency. Local Fabrication / development of non-critical parts, Tools, Equipment, etc. Demonstrated ability in independently managing various functions such as Inventory management, Material planning, Vendor management and Transportation. Handling commercial functions such as Bid Process, quotation evaluation, techno-commercial comparison, processing Purchase order, Documentation, etc. Implement a setup to properly study, plan, effect and control the purchase of materials to meet both company and DGCA require Develop vendors after consultation and approval from Engineering Quality and monitor performance Establish initial and continuous provisioning and managing of aircraft spares. Release RFQ, receive quotes, compile data ,negotiate , Generate PO,s and obtain approval for PO release. Ensure confidentiality of quotes and other procurement documents. Liaison with freight forwarders, customs and import agencies to ensure smooth movement of goods from vendor. To Propose a budget, which will enable purchasing to best manage its operation and contribution to the maximization of the company's business Undertake necessary corrective and preventive action to overcome any shortcoming. Ensure all AOG and urgent material requirements for aircraft maintenance activity met. Promote and cultivate a professional working culture in the Purchasing section. Achieve costs savings through developing indigenous / local sources, local fabrication of non-critical parts, proper analysis of quotes received, query user departments on demands and source for the best quality at an economic price. Preferred candidate profile Graduate in any discipline with 5 years of experience in Aviation Materials. ( BE/BTech preferred)
