Description
As an Application Developer specializing in JD Edwards, your primary responsibility will be to develop customized software applications and IT solutions using the JD Edwards Enterprise One software suite. You will play a crucial role in gathering business requirements, developing project functional and technical specifications, designing, developing, testing, implementing, and documenting solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Analyze business processes, define business and system requirements, and recommend best practices using the JD Edwards applications. - Develop overall business process and system designs required for implementing solutions. - Work independently or within a larger project team structure to create functional and technical specifications for JDE software development. - Write new JD Edwards application programs (interactive and reports) or modify existing programs, including data conversions and interfaces to third-party software products. - Design software test plans, collaborate with users to develop and execute test cases for business process scenarios, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing. - Resolve software issues and perform timely software upgrades. - Prepare and maintain software documentation. - Provide estimates for design, coding, and testing efforts. - Collaborate with other IT departments and third-party products for integrated system support. - Participate in production support activities and application debugging. **Qualifications:** - Sound knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools. - Minimum of 6 years of experience in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne development support, enhancements, and implementation projects, including custom program creation and support for 3rd party integrations and EDIs. - Proficiency in JDE OMW tools such as Batch Application Design, Interactive Application Design, Table Conversion, Inbound Outbound Flat file conversion, etc. - Familiarity with C/ NER Business function design, development, and debugging. - Good knowledge of BI Publisher and tools like One View Reporting, E1 Pages, BSSV, Orchestrator, and UX one. - Additional advantage with knowledge of languages like Java, Groovy Script, and SQL. - Functional knowledge in Sales Distribution / Finance is beneficial. - Experience with implementation, application support, and upgrades. - Familiarity with Global Delivery Model (Onsite/Offshore Model) is advantageous. - Strong understanding of technical design, development, and maintenance of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne. - Ability to create detailed technical specifications. - Previous experience with Agile development methodologies, including the Scrum framework. - Excellent problem-solving skills. - Strong communication skills, team player mindset, and ability to collaborate with various IT disciplines and business functions in a fast-paced environment. - Experience in building and maintaining mission-critical applications. - Quality-driven approach to work. **Company Ethics:** JB Poindexter (India) Private Limited upholds the highest standard of ethics in all business dealings.
