The healthcare landscape is rapidly changing. The Software Engineer must align to these changes, as well as to the mission of this team. He or she will primarily be responsible for the performance and stability of critical applications, working across teams and in support of clients / internal business teams, to perform troubleshooting and analysis at the Tier II level, while sharing their knowledge through cross-team KT and as the basis for troubleshooting / maintenance automation. As a secondary part of our teams mission, they will also help build custom applications to automate analysis and issue resolution. This person will work in a fast-paced environment, fostering high-performing technical teams: sharing knowledge, supporting teammates and building a high-performing team culture while doing so. This person will need strong communication skills / abilities, as they will be required to collaborate effectively with developers, offshore development team members, business owners, project management, other internal stakeholders and sometimes even with clients. The candidate will be expected to implement functionality changes and defect fixes that support onboarding of new clients and quick resolution of test or production issues. Prioritizes issue resolution and analysis over development responsibilities. Documents and demonstrates software development of medium to complex applications / systems, documentation, code comments and using Behavior driven and Test-Driven development. Participates with Technical Lead, Technical Product Owners, Scrum Master, architects to define plans for each software development. Identifies dependencies and risks involved in completing the stories upfront and shares proactively. Participates proactively in the daily stand ups, sprint planning and retrospectives. Follows git flow (Pull requests) and maintains the unit test coverage as well as passes the quality gate for the code that is written. Communicates technical and operational issues to the team in a timely manner. Ensure that all technology standards are adhered to while developing systems. Work collaboratively with Technical Lead, delivery team and IT teams as needed. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor’s in Engineering / Computer Science / Information Systems or equivalent experience. Must have strong written and spoken English skills, being that we are a client-facing team. 3+ years of strong hands-on experience in complete Software Development Life Cycle with Core Java (17), Spring Boot, Spring JPA, Spring JDBC, HTML, Angular 17, CSS Should be well versed with git version control system, IDEs like IntelliJ, SQL tools like SQL Developer. Should know how to use Git. Should have experience with Jira and creating stories and bugs in Jira. Should be proficient with Junit, Mockito and other unit testing frameworks. Should have experience in working with database schemas, tables, indexes in an RDBMS database. Should have experience in debugging applications, troubleshooting by running from the IDE. Should be able to estimate the effort involved in developing a story. Should be able to review, guide the other Junior engineers and be able to do code review, integrate the work. Should be able to debug Angular front end code using tools in browser or VS Code. Good To Have: Knowledge of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or any other agile framework Exposure to business process workflow analysis such as JBPM, experience preferred. MogoDB, Microservices, Docker based development/deployments, Exposure to CI/CD Exposure to rule engines such as drools.
