Java Microservice Developer

Seeking an experienced Java Microservices Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have strong background in Java development, with experience in designing and implementing scalable and efficient microservice architectures. Additionally, the candidate should have exposure to containerization and its enablers such as Docker and Kubernetes

Description

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Java development.
• Experience in developing and deploying microservices architectures using Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Data or similar frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful web services and related technologies such as JSON, Swagger, Postman and XML
• Strong expertise in microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and cloud-based technologies(OpenShift, Azure, AWS)
• Proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and related Java frameworks.
• Experience in containerization technologies – Docker, Kubernetes.
• Experience with database systems, both SQL and NoSQL.
• Experience in Message oriented Middleware(MoM) technologies – MQ and Kafka
• Experience in implementing Enterprise Integration Patterns (EIP)
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop microservices using Java related technologies( SpringBoot)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement new products and improve the existing systems in our microservices architecture
• Develop and maintain documentation of the microservices architecture, including design patterns, best practices and coding standards.
• Debug, troubleshoot and provide production support for microservices based applications
• Ensure high-quality code through code reviews, testing, and continuous integration.
• Implement automated testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes to ensure quality and efficiency in the development cycle.
• Integrate microservices with various systems and third-party services.
• Mentor and guide junior developers on microservices architecture, design patterns and best practices.
• Provide 2nd Line support for deployment in production.

Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Certifications related to Java and microservices development.
