Job Description

Role Overview: As a Backend Developer at Infogain, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems using technologies such as React JS, NodeJS, and TypeScript. You will play a key role in ensuring system stability, resolving service disruptions, and keeping abreast of the latest trends in backend development. Additionally, you will participate in the full software development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance. Your strong communication skills will be essential in collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring junior developers. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and document APIs using NodeJS and TypeScript - Work with AWS cloud platforms to deploy and maintain backend systems - Utilize relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) for data storage - Implement DevOps practices and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD - Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to ensure system reliability - Ensure backend security by understanding and implementing security principles and practices - Lead and mentor junior developers in backend development best practices - Respond to and resolve service disruptions and incidents in collaboration with operations teams Qualifications Required: - 4.5 to 6 years of experience in backend development - Expertise in React JS, NodeJS, and TypeScript - Proficiency in at least one server-side language (e.g., NodeJS/ Python) - Experience working with AWS cloud platforms - Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) - Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD) - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in backend development About The Company: Infogain is a human-centered digital platform and software engineering company headquartered in Silicon Valley.
