Java Developer

As a Backend Developer at our company, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions that handle large volumes of requests and data. - Writing efficient, maintainable, and testable code in Java, Node.js, and Python for our microservices architecture. - Developing and maintaining RESTful APIs, and working with GraphQL where appropriate, to support seamless integration with front-end services and external systems. - Designing and optimizing SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.) database schemas to ensure efficient data storage, querying, and integrity. - Designing and implementing distributed messaging systems (Kafka) to handle asynchronous processing and communication across services. - Identifying bottlenecks and optimizing systems for speed, scalability, and efficiency while maintaining high availability. - Providing technical leadership by conducting code reviews using SonarCube, mentoring junior developers, and promoting best practices in backend development. - Ensuring robust testing frameworks are in place (unit, integration, end-to-end), and documenting backend solutions for clarity and maintainability. - Collaborating with DevOps engineers to implement CI/CD pipelines, automate testing, and streamline the deployment process. - Working closely with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver well-rounded solutions and ensure alignment with business goals. Qualifications required for this role include: - Backend development experience with a strong focus on Java, Node.js, and Python. - Expertise in designing and optimizing both SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases. - In-depth knowledge of distributed queuing systems (e.g., Kafka) and how they integrate with microservices architectures. - Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and working with GraphQL. - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform). - Experience with building and maintaining microservices architectures, leveraging containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. - Proficiency in using Git for version control. - Strong understanding of security practices, including secure authentication (OAuth, JWT), data encryption, and API security. - Excellent analytical and debugging skills to solve complex technical problems and optimize system performance.
