Java Developer

Job Title: Java Developer Department: Technology / Engineering Reports To: Engineering Manager / Technical Lead Employment Type: Full-Time Role Purpose: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable applications. The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, and database management. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and maintain robust Java applications. Build and integrate RESTful APIs with third-party services. Implement and maintain Spring Boot and Microservices architecture. Work with SQL/NoSQL databases and optimize query performance. Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code adhering to best practices. Collaborate with front-end developers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to ensure optimal performance. Apply security best practices across application layers. Participate in code reviews, ensuring high code quality and performance. Develop and execute unit and integration tests for continuous delivery. Required Skills:✅ Proficiency in Java 8+. ✅ Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security. ✅ Knowledge of Microservices architecture and distributed systems. ✅ Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and web services. ✅ Proficiency in SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) or NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis). ✅ Hands-on with Hibernate/JPA for ORM-based data access. ✅ Experience working with message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ. ✅ Solid understanding of multithreading and concurrency in Java. ✅ Exposure to CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes). ✅ Version control using Git, GitHub/GitLab. ✅ Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) – preferred. Nice-to-Have Skills: Knowledge of front-end frameworks: React, Angular, or Vue.js. Experience with GraphQL. Proficiency in TDD/BDD using JUnit, TestNG. Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2–6 years of experience in Java backend development.
