About the Role

Mid-Level Java Developer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain
RESTful APIs
using
Java
and
Spring Boot
.
Integrate and manage
NoSQL databases
such as
MongoDB
for scalable data storage.
Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and front-end teams to define API contracts and business logic.
Write clean, efficient, and testable code that meets performance and security standards.
Troubleshoot and debug issues across services and databases, and implement robust logging and monitoring solutions.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
Apply healthcare domain knowledge to understand data flows involving claims, members, providers, and compliance-related structures.
Ensure adherence to
HIPAA
and healthcare data security requirements.

Required Qualifications

2–4 years
of experience in
Java development
with a focus on
Spring Boot
and
REST APIs
.
Hands-on experience with
MongoDB
or similar NoSQL databases.
Strong understanding of
API architecture
,
OAuth2/JWT
, and microservice communication patterns.
Familiarity with healthcare data elements such as
claims (837/835)
,
member/provider
info, or
EHR systems
.
Proficiency with tools such as
Git
,
Maven/Gradle
, and
CI/CD pipelines
.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in
Scrum
or
Kanban
teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to
FHIR
,
HL7
, or
EDI formats
.
Knowledge of
event-driven architectures
.
Prior experience in payer, provider, or health tech environments.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
