Overview of the Role:

The Java Developer role is pivotal to HCLTech's mission to deliver superior technology solutions. As a key member of our development team, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying high-quality software components that align with our strategic objectives. Your expertise in Java and related technologies will drive the creation of scalable and efficient microservices, contributing significantly to enhancing our product offerings and client satisfaction.

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust Java applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Implement and manage RESTful APIs using the Spring Framework, focusing on auto-configuration, starters, and service discovery.
• Design and develop microservices with a deep understanding of domain-driven design and bounded contexts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment, utilizing Jenkins and GitHub Actions for build automation.
• Engage in database management tasks including joins, indexing, and stored procedures to ensure data integrity and performance.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Skill Requirements:

• Technical Skills:

• Expert proficiency in Core Java, with a deep understanding of Java 8+ features.
• Advanced knowledge of the Spring Framework, including REST APIs and security protocols like JWT.
• Mastery in microservices architecture, API versioning, and technologies like Kafka and Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Strong database skills with experience in joins, indexing, and stored procedures.
• Advanced expertise in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

• Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Java development and related technologies.
• Proven track record of delivering complex software solutions.

Other Requirements (Optional):

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in supply chain finance is advantageous.
• Certification in Agile methodologies is a plus.
