Responsibilities

• You will work towards understanding the product requirements, shaping them into smaller problem statements in the implementation stack. You should thrive in an environment that has flavours of ambiguity.
• You should possess a strong experience in architecting, designing and implementing real world distributed systems that operate in a Cloud ecosystem. We work on Database Cloud Services that are build on top of OCI infrastructure stack.
• You should have a strong passion towards churning high volume of secure and well architected implementation of distributed software stack.
• You should possess a excellent ability to lead design discussions and help on technical decision making.
• You would get an opportunity to work in an environment that provides a strong ownership culture.
• You should have a strong bias to action, proactivity towards identifying the pain points where ever applicable in the DbaaS ecosystem.
• You should posses a strong ability to debug and troubleshoot the service stack that spans integration points across several OCI services that DbaaS integrates with.
• You will be part of the team that helps on operational issues that surface across services deployed in Cloud.
• You will get an opportunity to work with several stakeholders. You should be able to mentor and technically guide junior engineers.
• You should have excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to work across distributed teams.
• It is desirable if you have worked on core development across AWS, Azure or GCP PaaS or IaaS spectrum.
• Must have a strong knowledge of object-oriented paradigms, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Strong knowledge of Java is preferred and experience in one of the scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Bash, etc is a strong plus.
• Experience in microservices architecture, API-driven service-oriented architecture, Kubernetes, Containers, and Cloud Control Plane is a plus.
• You should have BS or MS degree in the engineering domain preferably Computer Science or equivalent. You should possess 8-15 years of software engineering or related experience.
