Position Overview: The Japanese Translator will be responsible for translating a variety of documents and materials from Japanese to English and vice versa. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of both languages and a keen understanding of cultural nuances to ensure accurate and culturally relevant translations. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience Required- 2+years of experience. Key Responsibilities: Translate documents, websites, and other materials from Japanese to English and English to Japanese with a high degree of accuracy. Review and edit translations for clarity, style, and consistency. Collaborate with project managers, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to ensure all translations meet quality standards. Conduct research to understand specific terminology and context relevant to various projects. Maintain translation memory and glossaries to ensure consistency across translations. Stay updated on industry trends and language developments to enhance translation quality. Provide linguistic support in meetings or conferences as required. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field. Minimum of 2 years of professional translation experience, specifically in Japanese-English translation. Native or near-native proficiency in Japanese and English. Strong understanding of cultural nuances and idiomatic expressions in both languages. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in translation software and tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ, etc.) is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality. Location- Gurgaon Preferred Skills: Experience in [specific industry, e.g., legal, technical, marketing] translation. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus. Certification from a recognized translation body (e.g., ATA, JAT) is a plus.
