Job Description

Job Summary The ITIL Capacity Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and continuously optimizing the capacity of IT resources and services. The role follows the ITIL process of "Capacity and Performance Management," part of the "Monitoring and Event Management" practice. You will analyze the current utilization of systems, applications, networks, and platforms (both on-premises and cloud), and forecast future requirements based on business trends and seasonal patterns. This includes performing workload analyses, identifying trends, and developing performance models. Based on these insights, you will prepare capacity plans that support short-term adjustments (such as auto-scaling or storage expansion) and long-term investment strategies. The role requires close coordination with Change Management, Demand Management, and the Finance team. Given the global nature of the client base, you will also account for regional compliance and energy efficiency standards. Regular reporting, KPI definition, and support in service level management and escalations during overload situations are key responsibilities. Your work will be essential in minimizing risk and ensuring service stability. Responsibilities Create and maintain a strategic capacity plan Perform performance and workload analyses Develop accurate forecasting models Collaborate with Change and Demand Management teams Optimize existing capacity models and processes Generate capacity reports and define key performance indicators Coordinate with operations and architecture teams for technical alignment Ensure service continuity and availability of critical resources Skills Required Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of ITIL v4 – Capacity and Performance Management Experience in developing technical forecasts Knowledge of profitability and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis Background in IT service financial management Familiarity with Service Level Management (SLM) Tools and Automation: Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, Dynatrace Scripting skills for automation using Python, PowerShell Show more Show less
