Roles and Responsibilities - IT Support Engineer Setting up new hardware for clients as well as in-house team as and when required Maintaining various IT hardware components for our clients as well as the in-house team Identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems encountered by various laptops, network Internet and other computer technology for our clients and in-house Diagnosing and servicing failed hardware and software Scheduling/making visits and maintaining hardware and software for AMC clients Setting up and maintaining backup system for the clients and in-house desktop computers and file servers Install, maintain and troubleshoot the Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), data communications, microcomputers and all peripheral equipment Install, test and troubleshoot networking cabling systems Install, configure, monitor and troubleshoot a wide range of network and data communications software and hardware Provide technical expertise to end-users regarding optimal set-up for software, hardware and network use Train users in various software applications and network-related procedures and on the use and features of the various operating systems and applications on the various platforms Diagnose the most effective method to resolve the problem and implement the solution Configure and install Windows workstations and Macintosh operating systems in response to the demands of a complex network design Install and troubleshoot onsite and remote network cabling infrastructure, including a wide variety of local area network equipment and software Record incidents & resolutions in the Help Desk tool. Use the established tracking system to log requests; monitor progress, track problem resolution, identify patterns of failure, research bug fixes and implement solutions; communicate with manager regarding unresolved problems Provide investigation, diagnosis, resolution and recovery for hardware/software problems. When unable to resolve, escalate to Senior level Work with vendors to resolve hardware operating system issues; research and test possible solutions and implement solutions Optimize computer usage by researching and recommending enhancements to system capabilities and performance Maintain overall ownership of clients issue & service ensuring that they receive resolution within a reasonable timeframe Provide initial assessment of urgency and business impact on all support calls Manage service requests, software installations, new computer setups, upgrades etc. Support the following technologies: Microsoft Office 365 products - Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Internet Explorer, Windows 10, Windows 11, Desktops, laptops, printers, networked copiers-scanners, NICs, basic LAN/WAN connectivity, Server 2016/2019 Monitor backups on a regular basis Desired Candidate Profile Should be very fluent in English, MUST have his own two wheeler vehicle for conveyance.
