POSITION: IT
INTERN - INFRASTRUCTURE
The IT Infrastructure Intern will be a member of the Infrastructure Group of Johnson Controls and work under the supervision of the Infrastructure Specialist. The role focuses on learning and assisting in managing infrastructure projects and exploring new opportunities. Additionally, the IT Infrastructure Intern will closely coordinate with Global Operations Teams (GOT) working on Cloud, IT Networks, End-user computing, Office 365, and various other critical platforms of this large organization. A significant level of multitasking and a highly proactive approach to work are essential for success in this role.
Overview
You will be imbedded with our teams working in new and ongoing IT Infrastructure projects. We are looking for interns having interests in –
- Mobile technology (MDM & Application deployment) platforms to support our mobile platforms across Johnson Controls.
- Telecommunications and Network
- Active participation in design, planning, build and run of network infrastructure refresh.
- Participate as part of global team involved in rollout of SDWAN technology and network security tooling.
- Multi Cloud Environment.
- Release management process for Enterprise CRM like Salesforce and Field Management Tools like Service Max. Interns will communicate directly with Business Unit contacts to map regression test scenarios.
- Ensure systematic and operational processes maintain complete and accurate information of Configuration Items (CIs).
- Perform regular reporting and data certification activities, ensuring that the information contained in the CMDB is a representation of the JCI technology landscape.
End-user Support Quality Review
- Monitor Customer Satisfaction Data on various dashboards.
- Engage various support groups leaders and guide them through building action plans to address low C-Sat. Plans could include knowledge reviews amongst other actions.
- Use Microsoft Power Platform to quickly build professional-grade apps, create automated workflows, connect to diverse data sources, and develop area dashboards KPI’s. – Using Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI
We are also looking for a Project Coordinator to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Monitoring global project progress and creating project status reports for project managers and stakeholders.
- Prepare and manage project management documents and generate reports.
- Supports project teams in the management of project functions, by scheduling meetings, calls, facilitating communication and information flow, and other actions.
- Document ITSM processes and suggest improvements
- Low code ServiceNow automations
