IT Infrastructure PMO

Role & responsibilities:

Project Governance & Coordination

• Support end-to-end delivery of IT Infrastructure projects (Data Center, Networks, Cloud, Servers, Security, End-User Computing, etc.).
  
• Ensure PMO methodologies, processes, templates, and standards are followed across all projects.
  
• Maintain project documentation including project charters, schedules, RAID logs, change requests, status reports, and closure reports.
  
• Coordinate with internal IT teams and external vendors for project planning and execution.
  

Project Planning & Execution

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  
• Track project budgets, financials, CapEx/OpEx, and invoice management.
  
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies.
  
• Facilitate project review meetings, steering committee updates, and stakeholder communications.
  

Reporting & Analytics

• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly dashboards on project health, KPIs, resource utilization, and budget consumption.
  
• Generate PMO metrics and ensure data accuracy for management reporting.
  
• Perform project audits and ensure compliance with IT policies and PMO frameworks.
  

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Collaborate with vendors for project deliverables, SLAs, and procurement activities.
  
• Manage communication with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clear understanding of project expectations.
  
• Support RFP/RFQ process, technical documentation, and vendor evaluations.
  

Process Improvement

• Identify gaps in current PMO practices and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
  
• Support implementation of ITIL, ISO, and compliance standards where applicable.
  
• Assist in standardizing project templates, tools, and governance frameworks.
  

Preferred candidate profile

• Understanding of IT infrastructure components:
  
• Networking (LAN/WAN, Firewalls, Switching)
  
• Servers & Storage
  
• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  
• Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
  
• IT Security concepts
  
• End-User Computing
  
• Familiar with project management tools: MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow, Power BI, Confluence, or similar.
  

Project Management Skills

• Strong knowledge of PMO methodologies (Waterfall/Agile/Hybrid).
  
• Experience managing multiple IT infrastructure projects simultaneously.
  
• Strong risk/issue management, change management, and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Experience with budgeting, procurement, and vendor coordination.
