Job Description

As a dedicated and professional Field Engineer in the IT Field Support team, your role involves providing technical support for installed products at premium client sites, including 5-star and 7-star hotels. Your strong technical expertise, adherence to professional grooming standards, and effective collaboration with clients and internal teams are crucial for ensuring seamless service delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Follow grooming standards at the assigned site, including dress code, facial grooming, and overall professional appearance. - Adhere to the defined roster for reporting to the assigned site promptly. - Coordinate with colleagues and the site IT Manager to execute daily roles and service delivery activities effectively. - Attend to guest calls, resolve product-related issues within the support scope, and escalate when necessary. - Report incidents and requests to the Centralized Support Desk for ticket creation, ensuring each issue is logged appropriately. - Perform daily health checks on all enabled features, record them accurately, and report any updates to the Centralized Support Desk. - Fulfill ad-hoc requests from the IT Manager or MSR team, ensuring timely updates are provided. - Prepare and submit a daily report of all attended activities in Excel format to the designated distribution list. - Respond promptly to requests for real-time feature or hardware testing, arranging room access and executing required checks. - Coordinate with the Inventory department for spare hardware requirements, parts procurement, and repair of faulty hardware. - Remain flexible to support ad-hoc requests, including visits to multiple sites within a day, to maintain seamless service delivery. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Strong knowledge of computer hardware and networking. - Working knowledge of Linux operating systems. - Proficient in troubleshooting, documentation, and reporting. - Professional grooming, communication, and customer-handling skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams. - Willingness to travel within the city and across India when necessary. Education & Experience: - Diploma / Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, or a related field. - Prior experience in field support / onsite IT support preferred, especially in hospitality or client-facing environments.
