Role & responsibilities 1) Analysis of complex services, covering a diverse range of technologies and external vendors, to ensure that proposed changes are safe and fit for purpose, including comprehensive analysis of risk, business impact & continuity, back out plans, test plans, resource requirements and availability. 2) Challenge proposed requests for change to ensure that the change is robust and that the impact on and risk to the organisation is minimal. 3) Develop, implement and maintain Change Management policies and procedures and ensure that the entire organisation complies with the procedures. 4) Develop and present Change Management reports as required. 5) Establishment, ownership and chairing the Change Advisory Board (CAB). 6) Support communication efforts - Support the design, development, delivery and management of communications. 7) Support training efforts - Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs. 8) Documenting and maintaining the Change Management policy, processes and standards. 9) Identify potential risks and conflicts prior to a deployment and ensure that all necessary checks are carried out before providing change approval. 10) Evaluation and ensuring the readiness for change 11) Ensuring that key stakeholders are kept informed through the service and change lifecycle and that expectations are managed. 12) Reporting to operations leadership on change trends and events within the organisation that will impact the business operations. 13) During the planning and rollout of upgrades and changes, ensure that known issues are addressed and problems are escalated appropriately. 14) Analyze incidents / problems registered by service desk to ensure future changes incorporate appropriate response to those incidents and problems. 15) Provides operational support for the Team Lead Preferred candidate profile University degree (Bachelor or equivalent) Technical Skills 1) Strong technical competencies resulting from previous working experience at expert level within an IT operational or support environment. 2) Experience of Web Services and/Cloud Platform 3) Knowledge in Server OS platforms 4) Knowledge in Basic network technologies 5) Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Project, Powerpoint,) 6) Basic knowledge about various software development methodologies, tools and databases 7) Basic knowledge about business applications /services in multiple domains. Functional Skills 1) Demonstrable experience in a Change Management Role within IT 2) Understanding of Enterprise Architecture, cloud IT environments etc. 3) Strong analytical/fault finding/diagnostics skills 4) Strong technical competencies resulting from previous working experience at expert level within an IT operational or support environment. 5) A broad understanding of business and the cost/benefit business impact of decisions Perks and benefits
