Job Title : Sr. Manager - IP Reporting to : Head of IP Management, Asia Pacific Entity Work Location : Evonik India, Thane Purpose of the Position : Provide patent drafts and filings, IP consulting, IP opinions, IP related contracts Handling opposition, invalidation and patent infringement cases Increase awareness on IP in India Support RDI hub in all IP matters Key Responsibilities : Patent related work: Patent drafting and prosecution in corporation with the inventors, regional decision makers and portfolio responsible colleagues in other regions Providing opinions, including validity and FTO analysis Coordinating and handling of patent invalidation and infringement cases Close cooperation with IP department in Asia Pacific Region, Germany, as well as US and external patent agencies. Education Required: Master, Ph.D. preferred / Natural sciences or engineering and Indian patent agent Major preferred: Chemistry or chemical related subjects; preferably a polymer chemist, an organic chemist, a bio chemist or an expert on material science and Indian patent agent Experience required : Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
