Job Description: Audit medical record documentation to identify the coding accuracy; prepares reports of findings to provide education and training on accurate coding practices. Researches, analyzes, and responds to inquiries regarding inappropriate coding, denials, and billable services. Interacts with Stake holders and other patient care providers (Facility) regarding documentation policies, procedures, and regulations; obtains clarification of conflicting, ambiguous, or non-specific documentation. Minimum Criteria: 2+ years of experience in a similar role or related field (Medical Coding, Quality). Strong understanding of IP DRG. Excellent analytical skills with ability to review complex data sets and identify trends. Effective communication skills with ability to work collaboratively across departments.
