Job Description

Job Title: Android App Developer (2 to 3 Years Experience)

Notice period: Immediate Joiners Only

Location: CHENNAI BASED, WORK FROM OFFICE

Role Overview

Our client is looking for a hands-on android developer who can hit the ground running. The mandate is simple: build, optimize, and ship. If you're fluent in android native development with IoT and comfortable interfacing with hardware through UART/RS485, you'll thrive here.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Android applications using Java, XML, Android Studio, and Gradle.
Implement Activity-based architecture with clean, maintainable UI logic.
Integrate and manage communication interfaces including UART, RS485, and custom command protocols.
Perform serial data parsing and ensure robust device-to-app communication.
Collaborate with backend teams for API integration (REST/HTTP/JSON).
Optimize app performance, stability, and memory footprint.
Participate in rapid development cycles and support on-field debugging when needed.

KEY SKILLS:

Frontend / Android

Java (Android Native)
XML layout design
Activity-based Architecture
Android Studio,

Debugging using ADB, logcat, profilers

Hardware / Connectivity

UART communication
RS485 protocol handling
Custom UART command protocols
Serial data parsing & troubleshooting

BACKEND - GOOD TO HAVE

API integrations: HTTP/REST/JSON
Experience with AWS backend services
Exposure to embedded systems or IoT solutions

Experience Required

23 years of relevant Android native development experience
Prior exposure to hardware-integrated mobile apps (preferred)
Immediate joiners only (0– 15 days notice)
