Business Development Manager – International Business


Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

  • Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities in international markets, with a focus on

    hydrogen, compressed biogas, ethanol/distillery, and thermal technologies

    (dryers, evaporators).
  • Generate high-quality leads, assess customer requirements, and convert prospects into long-term clients.
  • Develop and execute business strategies aimed at achieving revenue growth and market penetration in global regions.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitor analysis, and keep abreast of technological advancements and market shifts.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with key international clients, distributors, and industry partners.
  • Provide high-level technical consultations, product demonstrations, and customized solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.

Technical Support & Product Knowledge:

  • Possess an expert-level understanding of

    hydrogen production and storage

    ,

    compressed biogas systems

    ,

    ethanol/distillery processes

    , and

    thermal technologies

    such as dryers and evaporators.
  • Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to create tailored solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Prepare and present detailed technical proposals, presentations, and commercial offers to international clients.

Sales Operations & Coordination:

  • Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, order processing, and documentation) to ensure efficient execution of international orders.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules with international clients, while ensuring compliance with export regulations and international trade laws.
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle from lead generation to post-sale support.

Reporting & Performance Analysis:

  • Regularly track and analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer feedback to provide actionable insights.
  • Report to senior management on key performance metrics, sales forecasts, market conditions, and customer insights.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical) or a related field. An MBA in International Business or equivalent is a plus.
  • Experience:

    8-10 years of relevant experience in business development, sales, or engineering in industries such as

    hydrogen, compressed biogas, ethanol/distillery, or thermal systems

    (dryers, evaporators).
  • Technical Knowledge:

    Strong expertise in

    hydrogen technologies

    ,

    biogas production

    ,

    ethanol/distillery processes

    , and

    drying/evaporation technologies

    . Familiarity with

    Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)

    and other environmental technologies is a plus.
  • Language Skills:

    Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills are a plus.
  • Soft Skills:

    Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities. Excellent interpersonal skills to engage and influence both customers and internal teams.
  • Other Requirements:

    Willingness to travel internationally as required to meet client needs and attend trade shows or industry events.
