Internal Auditor

1. Audit Planning & Execution

• Assist in preparing annual audit plans based on risk assessment.
  
• Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits as per the approved plan.
  
• Evaluate existing internal control systems and identify gaps.
  
• Perform walkthroughs, sample testing, and process reviews.
  

2. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare audit working papers, observations, and draft reports.
  
• Document findings with supporting evidence.
  
• Discuss audit observations with process owners and help develop corrective action plans.
  

3. Compliance & Controls

• Verify compliance with company policies, SOPs, statutory regulations (GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, etc.).
  
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and recommend improvements.
  
• Support implementation of internal control frameworks (e.g., IFC, SOX if applicable).
  

4. Risk Assessment

• Assist in identifying key operational, financial, and compliance risks.
  
• Participate in continuous monitoring and follow-up audits.
  
• Help evaluate business processes for potential risks and control failures.
  

5. Coordination & Support

• Coordinate with different departments to gather data and understand processes.
  
• Support external audits by providing required documentation.
  
• Assist the Head of Internal Audit in special assignments (fraud investigations, process redesign, cost-control reviews).
  

Required Qualifications

• Semi-qualified CA (completed Inter level or equivalent).
  

Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and audit techniques.
  
• Knowledge of internal controls, IFC, and risk management framework.
  
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word; exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally).
  
• Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
