Intern- Electrical Engineering

Role Overview: As an Electrical Engineering Intern at Rolls-Royce, you will be joining the product development team focusing on generator set (genset) systems. Your role will involve assisting in defining, documenting, and managing system and component level requirements for electrical engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Work on application engineering related electrical engineering solutions for major Data Center Projects, Drups, and Non-Data Center Gas and Diesel projects. - Collaborate with the regional application team and define the technical scope. - Provide technical specifications and define the scope of supply for the equipment with team guidance. - Liaise with suppliers to obtain timely proposals for the equipment. - Define electrical systems requirements for walk-in genset enclosures suitable for project needs. - Prepare documents for customers" technical requirements with team guidance. - Review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and system layouts. Qualifications Required: - Graduate/Post Graduate in Mechanical Engineering. - Understanding of automation systems, electrical systems, and protection systems of a diesel generator set, demonstrating the ability to integrate this understanding into designing a genset enclosure. - Knowledge of engineering calculations for genset electrical systems including load & short circuit sizing, electrical panels, BUSDUCTS, battery, etc. Additional Company Details: Rolls-Royce's Power Systems business provides world-class power solutions and complete life-cycle support under the MTU brand.
