Job DescriptionWe have an Opening for an Interior Designer who would be forming part of our composite team responsible for designing and production of household furniture and home furnishing products. Our products basically comprise custom furniture, cabinetry and fabrics(cushions/pillows). The products have to be designed to cater for the market/customers in the USA. The broad job description is as under :--Advise/assist and coordinate with our product designers in the conceptualisation/creation of designs of household furniture and home furnishing products that are contemporary and trending in the USA.-Assist and coordinate with our Graphics Team in the creation/selection of scenes(bedroom, living room, dining area/ drawing room, study, patio, lobby, backyard, garden, etc) for the creation of lifestyle images of products. The scenes and lifestyle images must be eye-catching, impactful and attractive to the potential customers who are visiting the website and thus increasing the chances of the sale of the products very significantly.-While creating scenes, as well as, making lifestyle images the design aspect, the use of space and colour concepts must be kept in mind.-Keeping one self updated by undertaking regular and continuous market research for the trending household furniture and home furnishings in the USA Key Competencies/SkillsThe breadth of knowledge of design like human behaviour that may influence designs and knowing how a space may be used. For example, designers need to know about architectural styles and colours.Interior components design and detailing (custom furniture, cabinetry).Design concept, principles of design, process and aesthetics.Colour concepts, principles, theories and systems(selection and application). Also, the psychology of colours.History (art, architecture, interiors, furnishings).Two- and three-dimensional design.Decorative element’s selection and application.An in-depth knowledge of products and materials.Knowledge of 3ds max and V-Ray software for preparation of designs and graphics of products.
